Next Steps Parenting is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering teen parents with the support, education, and resources they need to thrive. Through mentorship, life skills training, and parenting guidance, we help young mothers and fathers build a strong foundation for their future while ensuring the well-being of their children. Our programs focus on essential skills such as financial literacy, career development, child care, and emotional wellness, providing a supportive community where teen parents can learn and grow. At Next Steps Parenting, we believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, young parents can break cycles of hardship and create bright, successful futures for themselves and their families.
Who We Serve
Young parents, and their family members, can find services with Next Steps regardless of if they are still pregnant or already parenting. We define "young" parents as those 20 years and younger. Parents and families in Placer or surrounding counties are eligible for assistance FREE of cost.

Families of young parents may also receive services, even if the parents themselves do not desire to participate.

Likewise, family participation is not necessary for parents to receive services either. It is not uncommon for parents to be expecting and have not yet shared news of their pregnancy with family or friends. Please know your privacy will be protected.

Next Steps is a great place to begin to make plans for the future for yourself, your baby, and your family. Whether you are unsure how you will afford a child, how you will cover bills, where you will live, where to find a doctor/insurance, have questions about childbirth, or how to break the news to family/friends- Next Steps is the starting point.
